FAQs
How do clear aligners work?
Clear aligners are removable orthodontic appliances that apply light controlled forces to your teeth to gently move them into more desired positions. A series of aligners are typically made with each set of aligners designed to move your teeth closer to the final proposed outcome. Each set of clear aligners will usually only be worn for 2 weeks before you will progress to the next set. The number of sets needed to achieve the desired outcome will vary according to the complexity of your case and cannot be determined without a diagnostic intra-oral scan. Above is a breakdown of the treatment process.
How long does treatment with ClearCorrect® Clear Aligners typically take?
The duration of treatment with ClearCorrect® Clear Aligners varies depending on the complexity of your case. On average, treatment can range from 6 to 18 months. We will provide a customised treatment plan and timeline based on your specific needs and goals. Regular check-ups will ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Are ClearCorrect® Clear Aligners suitable for all types of orthodontic issues?
ClearCorrect® Clear Aligners are suitable for treating a wide range of orthodontic issues, including crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites and mild to moderate misalignments. However, they may not be the best option for severe or complex cases that require more extensive tooth movement or jaw correction. During your initial consultation, we will evaluate your specific needs and determine if ClearCorrect® is the right treatment for you. If necessary, we may recommend alternative orthodontic treatments to achieve the best results.
