Dr Helena van der Linden, along with her property developer husband Wian and their two children, Talia and Max, enjoys a fulfilling life balanced between family and her deep passion for the art and science of dentistry. Coming from a family of dental professionals—her father is a maxillo-facial surgeon, her mother a dentist and her siblings also practise dentistry—Helena always knew she was born to be a dentist. This upbringing instilled in her an appreciation for precision dentistry, recognising that it is often the small details that perfect a smile.

A graduate of the University of Pretoria, where she earned her BChD degree, Helena has developed a strong focus on aesthetics, aligners and smile makeovers, where she finds joy in transforming smiles and boosting patients’ confidence. After running her own private practice in Johannesburg for seven years, she became passionate about digital cosmetic dentistry, particularly in using advanced technology to align and redesign smiles.

As the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for the ClearCorrect® aligner system in South Africa, Helena recently travelled to Switzerland to represent the country. She is the leading provider of ClearCorrect® aligners in South Africa and also holds the distinction of being the first dentist to offer Invisalign® aligners in the country. Today, she continues to provide these cutting-edge services in Umhlanga.

Dr van der Linden has a keen eye for detail and understands the balance between perfection and natural aesthetics. She believes in minimally invasive treatment and practises a holistic approach to dentistry and facial aesthetics. Her passion lies in crafting personalised treatment plans that not only improve dental health but also enhance the natural beauty of each smile. She is dedicated to building and maintaining long-term relationships with her patients.

Outside of the clinic, Helena is a proud wife and mother. She loves riding horses with her daughter Talia, spending time with her family and two dogs and enjoys golfing. Her family inspires her every day, reminding her of the importance of creating healthy, beautiful smiles for families in her community. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements and continually enhancing her skills to offer the best possible care to her patients.
